The focus of Trip 11 is on arctic tundra and the larch and white pine forest types. It will also wrap up the remaining time periods from which to experience fossils (Cambrian, Cretaceous and Miocene) with an emphasis on the Cambrian fossils from the famed Burgess Shale site in Canada's Yoho National Park. There will be more large mammals to experience that are only found in the extreme north: Polar Bears, Caribou, Musk Oxen and Walruses.
