The focus of Trip 4 is on geology and evolution. Since fossils are a major source of evidence that evolution has occured, locations containing fossils from a wide range of time periods (Eocene, Paleocene, Jurassic, Triassic and more) will be experienced. Other evidence of evolution, in the form of geological processes, biological anatomy and more, will be explored as well. The Grand Canyon will provide a case-study of how the process of evolution works by examining the squirrels on each rim of the canyon.
