Trip 2 Trip 5 Trip 6 Trip 7 Trip 8 Trip 9 Trip 10 International Species Information System (ISIS)

Many orders of animals have no representatives living in North America north of Mexico. If any of these animals are to be "experienced" in North America, it must be at a zoo.

Some species naturally exotic to North America, or difficult to experience in the wild, that can be found at zoos on Trip 5:

  • Various insects
  • Capromyidae: Desmarest's Hutia (a rodent)
  • Hyaenidae: Spotted Hyaena
